Modern Sculpture in the Central Hall

The Constitutional Court of Korea newly installed a piece of modern sculpture in its Central Hall March, 2008. It is a work of sculptor Manrin Choi, who is internationally recognized for his originality and unrivaled artistic sense. This work is one of the O series crafted with the visual motif of round forms that symbolize human beings as the source of all creation, nature and universe where humans reside, and all of these.
The Statue of the Protector of the Constitution by Euisoon Choi, which used to be placed in the Central Hall of the Courthouse since its construction, was relocated to the outdoor garden which assimilates well to the surrounding scenery, creating a more gentle and friendly atmosphere.
